this video goes over the topic on right triangle trig. trig is a topic/unit part of geometry and goes deeper (trig on non-right triangles) when you reach algebra 2 and pre-calc.

cosine: adjacent/hypotenuse
tangent: opposite/adjacent
-when solving for missing angles, you want to use the inverse of the function (e.g. sin to the power of -1) and when solving for missing sides, use the normal function.
