I imagined crisp desert air, quiet nights, and cozy mornings, but instead I got nonstop rain, deep mud, soaked gear, and that heavy cold that seeps into everything. This trip was messy, uncomfortable, and exhausting, but it was also real life on the road, and that is exactly what this channel is about. When you live full time in a tiny camper, you do not get to escape bad weather. You figure it out as you go. The ground turned into thick clay mud that stuck to everything. Every step felt like work. Keeping the camper clean felt impossible, especially with a dog. Pike was such a good sport, but the mud quickly became a problem. I tried to make him some DIY ziplock baggie booties to keep his paws dry and the camper floor clean. That plan absolutely failed, and honestly it was both funny and frustrating at the same time. Camping in the rain changes everything. Simple tasks take longer. Drying out gear becomes a daily project. You start measuring your mood by the weather forecast. Even with all of that, I really tried to stay positive and grateful. The moments of sunshine felt huge. Being able to dry things out, reset camp, get a fire going, and cook a warm meal lifted my spirits more than I expected. Those small wins matter when you are living on the road. Northern Arizona is beautiful, but winter weather here can be unpredictable. This video shows the not so glamorous side of RV life and off grid camping. It is muddy boots, wet clothes, cold mornings, and learning how to adapt without quitting. Full time RV living is not always aesthetic or easy, but it is honest. Some days feel heavy. Other days feel peaceful. Most days are a mix of both. This channel is about slow travel, solo travel, and learning as I go. I live full time in a small camper with my dog, navigating weather, roads, emotions, and everything in between. I do not share just the highlights. I share the challenges too, because that is what real life camping looks like. If you are curious about winter RV life, boondocking in the desert, camping with a dog, or simple living on the road, I am glad you are here.
