Today’s youth is facing unprecedented challenges, but if they come together to tackle the world’s most pressing issues, amazing things will happen. By leaning into their creativity, passion, and a drive to make a difference, they will be able to work toward a brighter future. The show opens with Katy Perry's song Firework celebrating each performer's individuality and self expression. An introspective arrangement of America the Beautiful followed by an electronic dance break with American Teen encourages us to set aside our differences and come together with a common goal, and the closing movement, Fight Song by Rachel Platten, empowers performers to direct that energy into creating positive change. When we unite with purpose, amazing things can happen — and the future is ours to create.
