This song has been a long time coming. I first wrote pieces of it back in 2011, in a time that, looking back, I didn’t fully understand. I was younger, a bit selfish, chasing life, making mistakes, and calling it experience. Like a lot of us do. In 2026, I came back to it. Different perspective. Different man. What used to feel like confusion now feels like clarity. The song is about something a lot of people go through but don’t always say out loud — being in a relationship where the love isn’t equal. Where you’re giving everything, and slowly realizing the other person isn’t really loving you… they’re loving the life around you. The comfort. The stability. The version of life you built. There was a moment where I was told we didn’t have to end things… that we could stay together, keep the life, and just… open it up. That never sat right with me. It felt hollow. That’s not how I’m wired. So I walked away. And here’s the part that matters — not every ending is a failure. We actually parted on good terms. No chaos. Just truth. And not long after, I met someone who changed everything. Someone who doesn’t love the life I built… she loves me for who I am inside it. That’s the difference. This track was written, rewritten, and finally brought to life using Suno Studio — which helped take a raw idea and turn it into something fully realized. But the story, the emotion, the mistakes, and the growth… that part’s all real.
