Hear from Pinellas County Urban Foresters and Lealman residents about the Adopt-a-tree program. Pinellas County distributed 260 trees to over 140 homes to increase the tree canopy, create a more diverse urban forest, and build resistance to storms and changing environmental conditions. By engaging community members in Lealman to help grow our urban forest, we are expanding shade on sidewalks and roadways, reducing water runoff to the stormwater system, and enhancing neighborhood aesthetics.
