USB3 Capture Cards & vMix
For smaller or portable systems the best way to capture video is using USB 3 or Thunderbolt cards so we test out a few USB 3.0 cards to see what works with vMix. This is not an exhaustive list of cards that work but I show how easy it should be to add HDMI or SDI capture over USB 3 into vMix. The cards used are: AJA U-Tap SDI Capture https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1248098-REG/aja_u_tap_sdi_u_tap_usb_3_0_powered.html Blutec HDMI Capture https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1583743-REG/blutec_bhdusb3_4k_hdmi_to_usb.html Avermedia ExtremeCap SDI Capture https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1416608-REG/avermedia_bu111_extremesdi_plug_and_play.html Atomos Connect 2 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1649503-REG/atomos_atomcon002_connect_2_hdmi_to.html Muxlab HDMI to USB 3 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1592929-REG/muxlab_500467_hdmi_4k_to_usb.html Video Production Equipment: BMPCC6k ATEM Mini Extreme ISO PTZOptics Cam JVC HM170 vMix DaVinci Resolve
