Use the DATEVALUE and TIMEVALUE Functions

This video show how to use the DATEVALUE and TIMEVALUE functions. This may be useful when you get files that have cells that show dates that are represented as "text" in Excel. You can't perform calculation on numbers represented as text, so you would need to covert "text" numbers or dates to value before performing calculations.
