The problem is given as a word problem in algebra, and we need to translate the problem from words into an equation. Once we have it in equation form, we can then solve the equation to finish the problem. We look for certain keywords to translate the problem into an equation. For example, the word sum means to add terms together. The word product means to multiply terms together. The word quotient in an equation means to divide terms.
