Then take that note pad, or hand it off to your kids, and collect some textures from outside!
With your Cricut you can print then cut the cover, cut the filler pages, and cut the chipboard back cover too.

Bonus tip - I didn't do this, but at the step where you clip the papers together as you glue, insert another piece of chipboard or a popsicle stick or something under the clips so they don't dent the filler pages!
