Using an @invisalign Aligner as a Bonding Template
👉 Sometimes when you try to extrude a tooth with aligners, the tooth just doesn’t follow. In this video, I’ll explain why that happens and what you can do about it. ✨ If the tooth is long, beautiful, and free of wear, you may need multiple refinement attempts to achieve extrusion. But often, the incisal edge could benefit from a restoration. In those cases, adding a temporary restoration not only helps extrusion but also creates length for future movements — or acts as a scaffold for a permanent restoration later. 🦷 Although I am an orthodontist and specialists often limit their scope, this restorative step is an essential part of orthodontic treatment. It allows you to continue seamlessly with your aligners or refinements. Patients understand this is temporary, and their dentist will complete the final restoration when the time is right. ⸻ 👍 If you found this helpful, don’t forget to like the video, subscribe for more orthodontic insights, and share your thoughts in the comments! #Orthodontics #Invisalign #DentalRestoration
