In this week’s ArtSpeaks Studio Moment I am talking about Contrast and how important it is to most artworks. Like the other Organizational Principles of Design, contrast can be applied to any of the elements (line, size, shape, value, color, texture), but it is usually associated with color or value. In this video I show examples of contrast in all of the elements and show how it is used to design paintings that are interesting.
