Mike Masterson, an Automation Specialist with #TheReynoldsCompany, demonstrates how Integrated Architecture Builder (IAB) software from @RockwellautomationInc can be used for initial network design. This process entails adding networks (communication networks, fieldbus networks, safety networks, power networks and On-Machine™ drive networks), variable frequency drives (VFDs), HMI systems and panel views. Following the Converge Plantwide EtherNet (CPwE) design guidelines from Rockwell Automation®, users can include the Enterprise Zone, the Industrial Demilitarized Zone (IDmZ) and individual Cell Areas for adding automation hardware. Specific switching management protocols (if required) and IP addresses can be selected and tracked within IAB software. Once finished, users will receive a printout of their network design. #techsupport
