Using LINBIT SDS with OLVM

In this video, as part of the LINBIT® 2025 Q2 Community Meeting Philipp Reisner, LINBIT® CEO and DRBD® creator, overviews LINSTOR®, the LINBIT-developed open source software-defined storage (SDS) solution for deploying and managing highly available block storage in clusters. The 2025 Q2 LINBIT Community Meeting focused on integrating LINSTOR with Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM) as an open source alternative solution to VMware. Reisner's presentation includes a high-level overview of the LINSTOR solution, and an exploration of its low-level components, including DRBD®. Reisner also highlights some LINSTOR features, and describes some of the use cases for LINSTOR, including within hyperconverged deployments.
