In this short video I will show you how you can create surface details in subdivision surface modelling without pinching using a Shrink Wrap deformer. I am showing how to put a square/rectangular cutout on a curved corner, a cylinder, and a sphere to demonstrate this simple, yet effective technique to avoid creases/highlights when adding details to curved surfaces that essentially are easy to create, but tricky in SDS modelling. We will even use topology that, without shrink wrapping, would not result in clean, pinch-free surfaces. I hope you'll enjoy this video. Thanks for watching! Cheers Wolf3D
