I recently was given my late grand fathers chisels and wanted to display them in the best way i could think of. I have my grand fathers burial flag and a couple pictures my grandmother gave me of him. He was a true badass of a grandpa sure miss him and wish i would have spent more time with him in his shop. any back to the shadow box. i used Maple since this was his favorite would. for a contrast I used paduak for the splines and the chisel storage. i used the chisels to carve the usmc then sprayed with black paint and then a coat of finish to make it pop. finished with some led lights makes for great shop furniture or a office masterpiece
