UTAH FPV
I took a few MK X frames on a family trip to Utah to explore Zion National Park. I was not able to fly the micro quad in the park because I did not want to further sully the term drone. At first, I thought a micro quad would be fine but once I learned the park has a strict "no drone or aircraft-based equipment" rule. I took that for no quads or multirotor platforms. It would have been easy for me to fly the micro quadcopter unnoticed, but wanted to set a precedent for everyone watching my videos. Always check to make sure you are flying in an area that is safe and does not have flight restrictions. All this is just to explain why I only flew around our cabin and do not have any footage of the beautiful park. I was impressed with the range I am getting out of the tiny FrSky receiver. I flew my tiny whoop inside the cabin but somehow lost that footage I wish I could have shown you the inside. sry. My 3d printed MK XI frame design in underway and may be the final design before I release it into the wild for everyone else to download and print. I have had a few bad crashes and am learning what failure modes I need to design solutions for. Right now I am battling keeping weight ultra light vs a strong frame. I am starting to lean towards a stronger frame that weighs a tad more. What do you think? let me know in the comments down below!
