University of Texas computer science professor Scott Aaronson’s research focuses on the capabilities and limits of quantum computers and the physics of computational complexity. In addition to research, he has written about quantum computing for publications such as Scientific American and the New York Times, and in 2013 he published a book titled Quantum Computing Since Democritus. His awards include the National Science Foundation’s Alan T. Waterman Award and the United States Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.
