Vacation Gift v0.05 - Health Bar Implementation, The First Enemy, Visual Changes, Sound Effects, Music Synopsis: Vacation Gift is a 3D platformer game where you play as the average Joe in delivering packages so that he may go on a vacation. Gameplay: The gameplay loop will be split into phases: Phase 1 - The player would go and deliver packages to the ports peppered about the level, with each port giving a set amount of points upon delivery. Once all of the ports that are open are delivered, phase 2 will commence. Phase 2 - There will be a timer (not implemented yet), and the player must go back to the cable car before that timer hits. Additionally, special ports would open up which give more points upon delivery. Phase 3 - If the timer runs out or the first normal port is delivered after delivering all the special ports, then Phase 3 commences. Similar to phase 1 but all the enemies will become faster overtime, and the dangers will become stronger overtime. There also will be more environmental hazards specifically for phases 3 and above. Phase 4 - The final phase. Once all of the normal ports have been collected in Phase 3, all of the special ports will open up again and Phase 4 will commence. The enemies and dangers are still faster and stronger and will be even moreso overtime. The environmental hazards will also become more numerous. This isn't the complete gameplay loop that I've had in mind Obviously I'm taking inspiration from Pizza Tower and Baldi's Basics Plus with this gameplay loop and I wish to give thanks and credit. Notes: The enemies that are shown here are the first enemies I made so far for this game called 'Iries'. An Iry is simple enemy that just rolls towards Joe and can be defeated by either jumping on them twice, or dashing towards them twice. The second part of the video was me showcasing how the enemies gradually become faster and stronger overtime once Phase 3 starts. As well as showing what happens when Joe's health reaches 0. This music that is playing is one I actually made called 'Doughnuts'. It's unfinished as of current and I'm not sure if it will be used for the level of current. But I'm adding it there so that my game has some form of music. This is the fifth version of a project that I'm working on. I hope you enjoy.
