https://www.sjerp-jongeneel.com/ An insight into the properties and options of high capacity vacuum blowers. This type of vacuum blower has a very high capacity of up to 2000 m3/h. The sound pressure is of course also slightly higher than with smaller blowers and an acoustic enclosure may be desirable. We will take a closer look at this first. The inside is of course provided with acoustic panels. Here we have the intake grille for the cooling air, with a sound absorbing box. This is the exhaust fan for the cooling air, also placed on a sound absorbing box. The frame is placed on vibration dampers for mechanical decoupling. If we look at the blower itself, we immediately see that it is driven with pulleys and a drive belt. This allows the blower to run at a different speed than the motor. Usually a higher blower speed is run to get the requested operating point. The bearings are placed on the outside of this blower. This offers better cooling and it is also much easier to replace the bearings after 20,000 operating hours. With high-capacity vacuum pumps, the temperature can rise considerably, so that relubrication extends the service life considerably. If we look at the accessories from the inlet, we have the vacuum filter here. The safety valve placed in front of the blower inlet and on the exhaust a pipe silencer. These machines are used for extraction systems with higher resistances and capacities. Vacuum lifting in large pick and place systems, but also in pressure applications such as pneumatic transport of powders, granules and capsules. This configuration is also ideal for gas transport. The blower is then provided with custom shaft seals and gastight supplied. An important part of this is increasing the explosion safety. Depending on the ATEX category , we build in additional safety measures.
