Van Components | Air Heaters
An Air Heater is very important for a Mercedes Sprinter conversion, offering a consistent and efficient heating solution that operates independently of the vehicle's engine. This ensures a comfortable living environment during chilly nights or winter travels. With the ability to provide warmth without relying on an external power source, an Air Heater becomes a vital component for extending the usability and comfort of the Sprinter conversion, making it suitable for a wide range of climates and seasons. Being inside an unheated van can be punishing after a long day out in the cold. There's nothing like having your own warm place after a day in the outdoors. The first way to get heat into your van is the simple air heater like the Espar S3D2L. These come in both gas and diesel and sips from you your fuel tank, ignites the glow plugs and then the combustion is dispersed throughout the cabin. These are typically installed under the passenger seat of the van. The next system, the Rixen system, fundamentally operates the same way, your vehicles fuel ignites glow plugs causing combustion and heating the van. However, this next system uses the heat from the combustion to also heat your water. This system is a bit more involved than a than an Espar installation but the system reliably heats the cabin, your water and can even heat your floor.
