Adding extra exterior lights to your Mercedes Sprinter conversion is crucial for enhancing visibility and safety during nighttime driving or when parked in poorly lit areas. These additional lights not only improve the overall aesthetics of your conversion but also contribute to a more secure and enjoyable travel experience by reducing the risk of accidents and providing better illumination for various activities around the vehicle. The Baja LP9 is one of the most common front-facing lights added to vans. Typically mounted on the on the front bumper or around the grill they offer more illumination and offer a lot of power for increased visibility through forrest trails or in the dark dessert. Scene lights have a much smaller design profile that allow for increased versatility when mounting. Scene lights like the Baja Design S2 can be mounted to roof racks and bumpers and their swivel design allows for them to be targeted towards a desired area. Hood-line lights attach to the vehicle where the engine hood meets the windshield. They offer higher illumination while going down the road or trails and often times are intentionally angled to illuminate the ground outside of the road (referred to as a ditch light). The Van Land Store sells floating light mounts and other lighting attachments for your Sprinter van.
