The need for Variable Data Printing on Packaging Products has been increasing rapidly for quite some time now. Not only does it add an important feature to the product, but it also adds value to it.
We have developed a solution for printing Variable Codes on Cartons using a TIJ printer, along with online inspection of the printed data. The printer as well as the camera are integrated together & are controlled from the same system.
A list of 'UNIQUE' Codes in a CSV file format are fed into the computer. The printer will go on printing the codes from the list on cartons.
Since the Codes are not human readable, the camera ensures that each and every Unique Code that is printed by the Printer is Readable (checks the grade of the printing) & also checks that the sequence of the Codes is correct. If anything is not correct, the system will eject the carton online.
At the end of every job, a detailed report of the job is generated. This report is very useful for reconciliation at the customer's end.
