Venceremos ("We shall prevail") was the hymn of Chile's Unidad Popular party, the grassroots socialist opposition party of Salvador Allende who won the election in 1970, after his overthrow by US backed Pinochet in 9/11/1973, it later became an song of resistance for Chilean Leftist groups.
