A venturimeter is a flow-measuring device with a narrow throat to convert potential energy from the fluid flowing through the pipe, on which these devices are installed, to kinetic energy and measures the flow rate. It works on Bernoulli’s principle. This device is utilised extensively in the water, chemical, pharmaceutical, and oil & gas industries to monitor the flow rates of fluids within a pipe.
