Verkada Access Control - Part 2 (Initial provisioning)
In the second part of the Verkada Access Control Deep Dive, I am installing and commisioning a new AC42 4-door controller. With Verkada all is plug and play, as long as the device gets power and access to the internet over TCP443 (HTTPS) and UDP123 (NTP). Once that happens, it will register to your cloud Organization, update itself, and become available for configuration. ✅ Get an in-depth platform overview here: https://www.verkada.com/demo/?utm_source=email&utm_campaign=7012T0000022Z97QAE 00:00 - AC42 installed 02:25 - Initial provisioning 04:54 - Validation & testing 🗒️ Top takeaways: ➡️ You can use not only new/second hand components to test the access control, but also buttons and LEDs (to simulate locks, DPIs and REXs) ➡️ Add the Order Number in Command to pull all the devices and associated licenses; you can do it via serial number (manual input or using your laptop's camera), but that will not automatically asign licenses ➡️ An AC42 can either cater for wired doors, or for Assa Abloy/Schlage wireless locks (can't mix) ➡️ The readers are automatically identified, as long as you wire them correctly into the controller ✅ Grab yourself a free Verkada trial: https://www.verkada.com/uk/try/
