In this tutorial for Unreal and Unity, I show how to improve the performance of your shader by moving some of the math into the vertex shader. Doing some math in the vertex shader instead of the pixel shader can significantly reduce the cost of a shader. I show two examples - one that works well, and one that causes interpolation artifacts.
