Using just my own video reference, Cartwheel turned footage into character animation that I dropped into UEFN to create a full cinematic with close-ups, zooms, and camera moves. In this step-by-step tutorial, you’ll learn how to: -Turn your own video footage into animation with Cartwheel -Import animation into Fortnite UEFN -Build cinematic sequences with cameras, triggers, and the Cinematic Device -Spawn characters, set up launch points, and invite friends into your game Polish your final cinematic Why Watch? The Fortnite UEFN community is hungry for new ways to tell stories. With Cartwheel, you can take a simple video reference and transform it into animation that plays seamlessly in your Fortnite experience. This workflow unlocks cinematic storytelling directly inside UEFN. Try both if you're seeing issues. -It is not needed when retargeting to the M_Medium_Base skeletal mesh. -If we learn more or resolve this requirement, we’ll update this description. -For questions or troubleshooting, reach out to us on Discord. Tweak Your Footage: Crop and Mirror Options Videos uploaded to Cartwheel can now be cropped to focus on a smaller section of the frame. For example, trimming a 1920×1080 clip down to 1600 pixels wide to remove a tree or other distraction. You can also mirror your video before converting it to animation. For this tutorial, I could have mirrored the clip to create one character running left to right and another running right to left. #Fortnite #UEFN #FortniteCinematics
