This song is the most personal thing I’ve ever written. I lost my grandad when I was 15, and losing him changed me forever. He was the first man I ever trusted, the person who taught me patience, kindness, love, and how to know my own worth. Even years later, I still hear his voice in my hardest moments, reminding me not to let the world harden me or dull my light. I wrote this song because grief never really leaves — it just grows with you. This is my way of keeping him close, of honouring the love he gave me and the woman he helped shape me into.
