When producing music I often find myself searching for "color" I want to share a tip I have learned over the years. Many old forgotten vintage "sleeper" microphones yield impressive sounds, and are affordable! Here I go thru my collection, share the price and sound on a guitar cabinet, then acoustic guitar.
I will often pair them up with something more common (condenser mic) and blend the 2 signals together. Drop a comment on whats your favorite!
