Violet Hill [SYTYCV]

"If you love me why'd you let me go?" Fandom: Life on Mars (UK) Pairing: Annie/Sam Song: Violet Hill by Coldplay. My entry to SYTYCV. I was placed in Group A: Fear - Love - Regret. For those who don't know the show, a small explanation: Fear: Sam Tyler was in an accident and woke up in 1973. I tried to portray his fear at being stuck in a completely different world, not able to get back home, constantly plagued by a series of halucinations (Doctors & loved ones talking to him through the TV screen (but they obvously can't hear him), mysterious phonecalls, a creepy girl jumping out of the TV, reactions to different treatments etc.) Love: But then there is Annie, whom Sam really likes. She listens to his theories and calms him down after his hallucinations (despite thinking he is crazy). She is just a great friend to him and makes him feel less alone. Regret: When Sam finally finds his way back home, it comes at a price. His whole team, incuding annie, is being shot down. He leaves them helpless, just a few moments after he told Annie he wouldn't leave her. He rather regrets leaving them so... he goes back. Voiceovers: "I told you before, I don't hate everything about this place" "I promise I won't leave you"
