VisionLidar - Tutorial - Measuring distances and angles

This tutorial explains how to measure distances and angles by using some of VisionLidar's measurement tools. There are two icons for measuring distances and angles. The same options are in the menu bar Clicking on the tool will show a measurement report. Measuring distances: Pick 2 points on screen Result: Coordinates for both points 2D (planimetric) distance 3D distance Slope percentage Difference in elevation (dZ) The result of the measurement may be saved in text format from the measurement report window. What is shown on screen is the 3D distance. Measuring angles: Pick 3 points on screen The result is the angle between the 1st and 3rd picked poitns Coordinates for 3 points 2D (planimetric) angles You can alter the way the measurements are displayed. Go to Settings / View / Measurements Change the measurement text size, precision for distances or precision for angles These settings will modify the measurements displayed on the screen.
