Adam, Nate and Jeff check in on Ryan Lutton. Ryan is testing the UD100 in his 3560 tap sugarbush. Ryan usually makes over 5.5lbs per tap with a 10HP water liquid ring pump pulling near 28" of Hg. The vacuum technology has a higher HP and 100 cfm where the UD100 has a much deeper vacuum capability of 29.9" of vacuum and only 53cfm.
Ryan has learned where both technologies are helpful and how the oil vane pumps can increase his yield 5-10% higher than his 10HP liquid ring.
