Visualising Solid Shapes This module describes the net of solids like cube, cuboid, cylinder, cone, pyramids. It also explains how to draw three solids in two dimensional plan using oblique and isometric sketches. And also helps in identifying 2D shapes in 3D solids by slicing and shadow play. In our daily life we see many objects around us which have different shapes. For example: Book, copy, pencil, duster, chalk etc. They are of different shapes but one thing which is common about most of these objects is that they all have some length, breadth and height (or thickness). Since all those objects occupy space and have three dimensions [i.e., length, breadth and height (or thickness)], so they are called three dimensional shapes of solids.
