Vizrt Pie Chart with Data - Vizrt Visual Data Tools
This video will show you how to create a stand alone pie chart in your scene using the Pie Chart plugin and the Data Storage. Drag the Pie chart plugin, from within the Visual Data Tools into the scene tree. This creates a container in which you can name or rename it anything you want. We’ll also want to drag the Data Storage plugin onto the same container. The Data Storage plugin is found in the Built-Ins tab, the Container Plugins tab within the Visual Data Tools. Click on the Data Storage icon to go into the plugin editor. The first option we need to change is the Shared Memory dropdown. In our case, for this tutorial, we need to change it to Scene. Next you need to give the Key Data 1 variable a name. You can name it anything you want but it will need to match a variable in the next plugin we are going to edit. Finally, you need to add data to the Data 1 editor. The numbers you enter here is the data that will populate the pie chart. Click on the Pie Chart icon on the container to enter the Pie Chart plugin editor. The first option we need to change here is the Shared Memory value, which should reflect the Scene selection. Next you need to match the Key Data with the naming convention from the Data Storage plugin. Once you have the correct name in this path, the Pie chart should populate with the data from the Data Storage key. The video shows other ways to manipulate the Pie Chart once you have the data populating it.
