Vizrt Scripting Tutorial 1 - Introduction
This video is an introduction to the Script function in Vizrt Artist. The function allows you to write a script inside of artist to manipulate a scene. In this video, you will be introduced to the function and how it works. After watching this video you will begin to gain the knowledge to write your own script. The script function is found in the Globals folder in the functions tab. You can drag this function down onto any container that you want to add a script to. Viz scripting can get very deep so the more comfortable you are with programming languages the more this plugin will make sense. However, if you are limited in programming knowledge, you will still be able to use scripts in your scene design. Once you drag the script function onto a container it opens up the script editor in the upper right window. This is where you can begin to write your script or paste a script into the area. The following videos will show you how to create and write scripts from scratch. In this first video we start by writing a script to rotate a primitive within our scene. It will also show you how to start a script to change the position of container or object. You're also introduced to the Compile and Run button which is used to compile the script within the plugin and run it when ready. This video a base introduction to the script plugin in which you'll get familiar with the language within this plugin.
