Vmc Programming I G87 Back Boring Cycle

Here are program format for the G87 back boring canned cycle. Unfortunately G99 is never used with the G87 cycle. Use only G98 . Fanuc G87 Boring Cycle Format G98 G87 X… Y… R… Z… Q… F… X Y – Hole position Z – Boring depth (Absolute). R – Tool starting position above the hole. Always in negative value like R- 1.0 Q - SHIFTING AMOUNT IN HOLE F – Cutting feed rate G87 – Back-Boring Cycle To be totally up front with you, this one is more complicated. If you’re back-boring to a step, this is the cycle you use. Its setup is involved and it’s easy to screw up, so only use it if you need to.
