VMIX 27: CREATE DYNAMIC LAYOUTS USING SCRIPTING

As we mentioned on our last show, vMix 27 Beta has new shortcuts that let you control the size, position, and crop of individual layers in an input. These shortcuts open up a range of very powerful capabilities that can both simplify and enhance your production workflows. On today’s show we will use a script to read an XML file describing all of the multibox layouts needed in a production and dynamically assign any one of those layouts to an input. This will cover reading and parsing XML from a file, extracting the attributes describing the input, zoom, position, and crop for each layer, and leveraging the new shortcuts to dynamically assign them to an input.
