VOCAL ANALYSIS: ROY KHAN
Hello everybody, Its Kamelot time! Yes indeedy, we are investigating those beautiful tones of the very talented Roy Khan, formally of Kamelot. Roys voice and vocal delivery is a tremendous blend of tone, story telling and dynamics, so really enjoyed getting to grips with trying to see how he works his magic! The featured song is "Abandoned" from Kamelots "Black Halo" album Disclaimer: The aim of these videos is to show you how I try to mimic the tone and style of various singers. Singing in a style that isn't natural to your voice and using certain compressions styles can damage the voice if used long term. I use these sounds and techniques for certain studio performances and for clients who wish to have a certain style and sound on their recordings. The same as voice actors may push their voices in a studio session, I may use these styles in the same manner. If any singing style or technique you try hurts, I do not recommend using it long term.
