Volume Meshing with SOFiMSHA - BRIC Elements
Jürgen Bellmann explains how to create BRICS, Volume Elements, in SOFiSTiK using SOFiMSHA. He uses TEDDY text input to create the foundation of a wind turbine using BRIC-Elements. Starting with the model concept, the reference nodes and finally the volume element for the finite element analysis. The SOFiSTiK TEDDY text uses smart and easy to use loops for the multiplication of nodes, that are used for the model creation. Lastly the necessary connections are modeled via spring elements, loads are applied and Jürgen shows how to check BRIC results.
