In this video, I take a look at the Vortex Spark II red dot sight—an optic that was once a solid option, but is starting to show its age in today’s market.
After running a Spark I for years (and putting it through some serious abuse), Vortex replaced it with this newer model under their warranty. So, how does it hold up? I go over the design, included mounting options, controls, battery life, and overall performance.
While it’s still a functional red dot, the Spark II falls behind modern optics in key areas like battery life, size, and features. With newer options offering things like “shake awake” and dramatically longer runtimes, it raises the question—does this one still make sense to buy?
I also compare it to other popular budget-friendly red dots and share my thoughts from a practical shooting perspective.
Thanks for watching!
