VP44 injection pump killer!?

HOW TO get HORSEPOWER in 24 Valve Cummins the right way! This video I give you an update of how the 2nd gen 24 Valve Cummins rides after replacing the ball joints, wheel hub, and axle u joint. The ball joints, wheel hub, and axle u joint combined with all new tie rods, center drag link, and sway bar end links on the 24 valve Cummins have got the old girl feeling like a million bucks. Night and day difference. I also go into what's going on with my VP44 injection pump and a little bit of my reasoning for wanting to replace it. I cover reasons that the VP44 injection pump fails, by not staying lubricated and cooled with sufficient fuel flow, or having a fueling box (tuner) that taps into the wire of the VP44 injection pump like an edge comp box. Having a tuner that wire taps the VP44 injection pump works the VP44 double time by changing the timing of the 24 valve cummins as it adds all that extra fuel to give you horsepower and torque gains. Doing that also heats the computer on the VP44 up much quicker and hotter and doesnt allow it proper cooling like it was designed for, which results in the computer on the VP44 starting to overheat and giving your 24 valve cummins hard starts when you turn the truck on. Eventually that computer will just crap the bed 100% and theres no saying how long it will hold out that way for. There are other ways to safely gain horsepower in your 24 valve Cummins without just throwing a tuner on it (edge comp box) Remember, GAUGES and LIFT PUMP (fass or airdog) are extremely important for these 2nd gen 24 Valve Cummins trucks and really help in giving the VP44 injection pump a good lifespan.
