W2_L2.15: Flowchart for max marks
Welcome to Week 2 Lecture 2 Part 15 of the course "Computational Thinking" by Professors Madhavan Mukund and G. Venkatesh. Full Course: https://study.iitm.ac.in/ds/course_pages/BSCS1001.html Video Overview In this lecture, we explore how to optimize flowcharts for identifying the maximum value in a dataset—specifically focusing on mathematics scores. We begin with a basic flowchart for repetition and filtering, then adapt it to locate the highest score. The flowchart is further refined to track not just the maximum score but also the card or cards linked to it, using a list to handle multiple entries with the same maximum value. This session demonstrates how flowcharts can be modified to perform more insightful and structured data analysis. About IIT Madras' online Bachelor of Science programme IIT Madras offers four-year BS programmes that aim to provide quality education to all, irrespective of age, educational background, or location. The BS programme has multiple levels, which provide flexibility to students to exit at any of these levels. Depending on the courses completed and credits earned, the learner can receive a Foundation Certificate from IITM CODE (Centre for Outreach and Digital Education), Diploma(s) from IIT Madras, or BSc/BS Degrees from IIT Madras.
