"Set your dreams where nobody hides..." _________________________________________ To be completely honest, I cannot believe this video is here. I was going through my vegas files and deciding which ones to delete and which ones to render as unfinished and this one was about to be deleted until I just started adding on to it? Random inspiration at its finest. This video is largely focused on the s2 finale and the scene where Peggy tells Pete that she gave up their child. It is, without a doubt, my favorite scene in the entirety of Mad Men and one of the most incredible moments of acting between two actors. Vincent and Elisabeth absolutely floor me and the dialogue is so raw and real. They're the reason that Pete and Peggy even remotely work in the first place and their talent made this relationship genuine. And I know I said this in my last video for these two (and in a way this video is incredibly similar to that one too but w/e) but I just love how this relationship is played out on screen. Everything between them is loaded with subtext and a tension that no one else realizes or even suspects and the intimacy of their connection is such that I personally want to die every single time I watch one of their scenes, even if Pete is garbage and Peggy is a queen. (That definition applies to most of my otps though so everything makes sense.)
