“Waiting For That Day” was created during one of the most intense creative periods of my life — the kind where you’re so deep in the work that you can’t stop, even when your body is exhausted. Around that same time, I wrote Lyrical Prison, a song about the other side of creativity: not writer’s block, but the overwhelming flood that music creators get when the channel won’t turn off. I remember waking up after barely three hours of rest, feeling that pressure in my chest — that urgency — and I ran straight to the dining room to write. That’s where Lyrical Prison came from. But Waiting For That Day is the opposite side of that experience. It’s about dreading the cooldown. It’s the fear that comes when the channel finally goes quiet — when the words stop flowing, when the excitement fades, when you look at the world and don’t feel that spark of inspiration anymore. It’s the emptiness that follows the high. Because creativity comes in waves. And when you’re used to riding the wave, the stillness can feel scary. This song captures that moment — the moment when you know the wave is leaving, and you’re waiting for the next one to return. It’s emotional, reflective, and honest, and it has become one of my top‑played tracks on SoundCloud with over 2,000 plays. April Rain is still ahead with over 3,000, but this one is close behind.
