This is a thing i read on the Owari No Seraph wiki about Lacus and Rene. Those two are my babs and heck i thought this map part was perfect to use their backstory in.
So practically Rene comes home to find his parents dead when Lacus bumps into him. Lacus takes Rene in as a brother but Rene only accepts him as a half-brother. Then they get shot and vampire nobles come in and turn them into vampires. Im not sure who the vampire noble was but i just put Ferid because he seems like the closest noble to them.
