"War Paint"
WAR PAINT is for every parent and carer who has ever had to fight a system just to get their child seen. This song was born from exhaustion, anger, heartbreak, and love. After countless reports, specialist letters, assessments, meetings, and 17+ documents sent to the NDIA… another email arrived asking for more. More proof. More evidence. More justification for needs we live with every single day. The hardest part? The people making these decisions have never even met my son. They don’t know his face, his struggles, his strength, or the battles he fights daily just to navigate the world around him. So we kept fighting. We reached out to supports, specialists, teachers, and the people who actually know our lives — asking them to help paint the picture of a reality that can’t be fully captured in paperwork. I may have cried reading that email… But then I got back up, wiped away the tears from their toxic fumes, put on my war paint, and became stronger than ever. This isn’t just a song. It’s a battle cry for every family forced to prove their pain to systems that were supposed to support them. If this resonates with you, please share your story in the comments. You are not alone in this fight. 🎵 Song: WAR PAINT 🖤 Inspired by real experiences navigating disability support systems and advocacy. #NDIS #NDIA #WarPaint #DisabilityAdvocacy #Autism #SpecialNeedsParent #InvisibleDisability #Parenting #FightSong #EmotionalMusic #MentalHealth #SupportNeeds #Advocate #Stronger #IndependentArtist #Family #AutismAwareness #DisabilitySupport #Trauma #ParentCarer
