Wasteland, a Ruby Rose AMV

Full Disclaimer!!! I do not own any of the footage used, nor the show RWBY, it is property of Viz Media! Additionally I do not own the music "Wasteland". It is performed by New Jersey's own, Royal & the Serpent! Now I can already hear the haters, "Wow how original, another depressing Ruby video." But you know what? Tragedy is and will always be my absolute favourite genre. It a story type where someone does everything they can to make the best of what they have. Despite their best efforts, they either fail or live on at a great personal cost and I find that strangely comforting because even though they were destined to fail, they didn't take it lying down. They didn't simply give up in the face of their adversary and I think we can all find a small comfort in that. Ruby is the embodiment of "Hope finds a way" to me. She came, she fought, and she lost only to rise again exactly as the person she needed to be...Herself. As someone who has gone through similar things and came out feeling the exact same way as Ruby, seeing her choose life even after giving it up showed me that I was allowed to make that same choice. While many factors played a part, it would not be false for me to claim that Ruby Rose has helped save my life in the past. So yes, you may see it as yet another depressing Ruby video but from my POV that isn't what it is. For me, it is one pure word... Inspirational. Until next time, Stay Flaming! ~Atlesian Phoenix
