Water Reflections [Tutorial]
Hey all! This is a very quick tutorial on how to do reflections more catered to anime style renders. I still have quite a few of these I'd like to do, of various lengths, that will help you get to the results you are looking for sooner, rather than later :D! PS, sorry about the spelling error in the video... There are no tutorials for water relfections, hahaha. CGT Files - Eevee updated too: https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/exterior/landscape/for-anime-in-blender-water-reflections I've looked at some reflections and frankly, Blender can't produce the exact kind of reflections I would've liked. When animating by hand, you can easily leave out or doctor certain things to give you a specific result without even thinking about it. In anime, for example, when water is drawn with reflections, the reflections don't create any sort of shading or specularity on the water, yet the water still has specularity and distortion. Because Blender works the way it does, this is not gonna happen unless you fake the reflection with objects that are shadeless. Frankly, most of us are not going down that route and tbh, some of the best art work in the anime style, has both specularity and turbulance shadows as well, so this is actually a step to, for lack of a better term, set a new standard for quality in video. Didn't use any reference or anything. Just got the image and I modelled.
