We Are at War

This morning Pastor John Peront speaks on the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the present spiritual war. Beginning with Ecclesiastes 3:8 and the subject of yesterday's attack on Iran, he reminds us that Jesus said there would be wars and rumors of wars before the end comes and that we, as believers, ought not to fear but rather to trust in God, walking in faith and remembering that there is a war in the spiritual realm between God and the devil that has outworkings in the physical realm in which believers play an active part. However, it is important to recognize that we can only be effective, both practically and in glorifying God, when we fight this spiritual battle in God's power, on God's terms, and with God's provisions (Ephesians 6:10-20). He concludes with the reminder that we should not be fearful, even in time of war, but that we have the blessed hope of the rapture when Christ returns to catch us up to be with Him forever before the time of tribulation.
