I would put out a short little video and then not work on anything for the next few days, or at the worst, weeks. I just had to cut myself off from these completely in order to focus on projects that matter and stop giving myself the false feeling of accomplishment. I was going to make this little clip either way as a proof-of-concept just for myself and I may as well upload it.
